We believe that open communication with family and loved ones is vital in helping an individual make the choice to receive treatment. Individuals that suffer from addictive behaviors tend to self-medicate unhealthy shame, guilt, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Consequences of their actions often ignite feelings of anger, frustration, sadness, abandonment, and resentment among those close to them. Loved ones often “don’t know what to do” or “how to say it”. They make decisions or statements based from emotions and tend to become co-dependent, enabling, controlling, or belittling out of desperation.
This is why the Ark offers intervention assistance. Our interventionists are licensed professionals that also hold a national certificate of specialty in interventions. They are proficient in all forms of chemical and behavior addictions.
Our interventions are orchestrated in multiple levels and catered to the needs of the patient and love ones. Prior to the intervention, we educate and work with the family and friends to design the most successful invention to meet their needs. All interventions are facilitated with love, respect and integrity… we do not believe in deceiving, manipulating or demeaning the individual.
